Created by forces of nature; earth, water and fire, comes the result of Grand Canyon Pottery. Inspired by the raw and stunning beauty of the Grand Canyon itself, we craft our one-of-a-kind hand made pottery right here in canyon country!
Although the art of mixing two different clay bodies in pottery has been around for thousands of years this lost art form has been taken to new heights and perfected by my husband and I over the last five years. Our unique creation process results in a beautiful red and white layered work of art that guarantees no two pieces will ever look the same.
But be warned, the shimmering and wild patterned surface may lead to a purchase if stared at for too long! While most potters tend to produce as fast as they can, we have gone the opposite direction, we have slowed the entire process down from start to finish. From mixing the clay to throwing it on the wheel, the drying time, the kiln firing speed, the glazing of each piece has all been slowed down dramatically and intentionally to create each piece as individual as you, our cherished customer!
