My career working with microscopes in the minute world of
dentistry led to an appreciation of macro photography, and
particularly, the beauty of flowers. After many years in the world of
things small, I widened my focus to include the larger scenes of
nature - landscapes. My photography captures views from both
obvious and unusual perspectives and is about the innate beauty of
nature but also the manmade pieces of our world.
Traveling recently to Mackinaw Island in my birth state of
Michigan, I was inspired by another artist to compose simple, but
beautiful, sea glass art. My sea glass art is all about fun, whimsy
and simplicity.
Sharing creations in the gallery environment is exciting because of
the tangible and more personal connection versus the digital world
of my website.
