Artist Bio
My love of art came early in life and throughout my school years, always trying different media and styles. I have always leaned toward the unique and abstract, one-of-a-kind style of art, no matter the medium.
I am self-taught in much of what I’m doing. After a 30-year career in the copper mines south of Tucson, Arizona, things slowed down to creating art for friends and family.
After my wife and I moved to Northern Arizona (Williams, AZ.), the “art bug” hit again, this time with me mostly working with wood from throughout Arizona including oak, juniper, cedar, manzanita, and mesquite. This includes the bark of the aspen, ponderosa pine, cottonwood tree, and the skeleton of the cholla cactus.
I also love to create unique “one of a kind” hangers and hooks for jewelry, hats/caps, coats, keys, or whatever you need. I use antique artistic door knobs and back plates, I like to reinvent hooks with silverware or make them out of wood, each creating a unique look. I hope you enjoy my unique creations for the home.
